The Villa de Branciforte was founded in 1797 by Governor Diego de Borica of California on orders of Viceroy the Marqués de Branciforte. It was the third of Alta California's three pueblos. Alvarado Adobe, Landmark 512, operated by the City of San Pablo, a reconstruction of the Castro family adobe home which originally stood on the site. It was occupied by California Juan Bautiste Alvarado from 1848 to hisAlvarado Adobe death in 1882. The museum includes a Rancho-era bedroom and a Victorian parlor, in addition to displays on local history and Ohlone artifacts.

Yucaipa Adobe, San Bernardino County, Landmark 528
Considered the oldest standing residence in San Bernardino County. 1989-90 archaeological findings indicate it was not the home of Diego Sepulveda as once thought, but of mountaineer James Waters, dating from 1858-59.
