REMINDER TO PRESENTERS AT MISSION DOLORES CONFERENCE

Those who presented papers at the Mission Dolores conference in February and who wish to have the papers included int the conference proceedings need to submit the papers to the editor by March 31. Please follow the style sheet that was distributed immediately after the conference. We hope that as many presenters as possible will submit their papers! Please contact the editor at calstudies@scu.edu if you have any questions.

JUNÍPERO SERRA EVENT AT MISSION SANTA CLARA

The California Studies Initiative at Santa Clara University will host an event, Junípero Serra and Mission Santa Clara, 1777-2007, at Mission Santa Clara on Saturday April 14. The hour-long event will begin at 5 P.M. It will include performances of eighteenth century music by the acclaimed Coro Hispano de San Francisco, under the direction of Juan Pedro Gaffney R., a brief multimedia presentation on Serra, and remarks by Kevin Starr and Santa Clara University President Paul Locatelli, S.J. A reception will follow the event. Please RSVP to calstudies@scu.edu if you plan to attend.
